Audition Results

Here are the results for Dance Tech’s 2010-2011 season! We could not have been more pleased with the talented dancers who auditioned, and we are so excited for this season! Please note that the final decisions were made with your dancer’s best interest in mind. Much thought went into this decision making process, and each dancer was placed where we feel he or she would benefit most. Each dancer has his/her own strengths and weaknesses. For example, some may be stronger in their technique, whereas others may be stronger in their expression. Ballet is the best way to improve technique. We recommend every dancer take a ballet class, even if it is not a requirement of the team on which they are placed. We have listed their recommended ballet level along with their team placement below. For those placed on DT Minis, DT Juniors, Jr. Hip Hop and Sr. Hip Hop, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Wednesday, June 2 at 5:30pm at the studio. For those placed on the company (formerly known as Jr. Jazz, Sr. Jazz and DT Elite) the parent meeting will be at 6:30 that same evening. Those placed on Pre-Teams or Combo Techs will not have a parent meeting at this time, but should call the office as soon as possible to register for their suggested classes. Summer classes begin the week of June 7^th and go through July 30. Fall session classes begin August 30 go through May 2011. Spread the word to all the experienced dancers (age 6 to 19) you know that auditions for Dance Tech's award winning competing teams and new competing Hip Hop teams, are this week. Starting tomorrow, May 25, 26, & 27, at Dance Tech Studio:

5:00-6:30 for 6 to 9 yrs.
5:00-7:00 for 10 and up.
7:00-8:00 for competing Hip Hop teams

The workshop is $15, and dancers will learn a short routine at the workshop on Tuesday and Wednesday, then audition with the routine, for a position on a competing team on Thursday. All dancers will be given suggested class placement. The auditions are held in a friendly, non-threatening environment and dancers leave happy.

Dance Tech’s competing teams have won numerous awards this year, and countless awards in the studio’s 24 year history!
